Frequently Asked Questions

How does the 7-day free trial work?

When you tap "Get Started" in onboarding, the trial clock begins. You get full access to every feature for 7 days. After the trial ends, the app locks behind the paywall and you can choose monthly, annual, or lifetime access. Monthly and annual subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Your local data stays on your device regardless of subscription status.

Are any of my photos uploaded to Foundry Pixel servers?

No. Face detection, OCR, source detection, trip grouping, and local tagging happen on your device. The App does not upload your photo library to Foundry Pixel. Network activity is limited to subscription validation, direct connections to destinations you configure, optional Google Drive authentication, and the support/legal website.

Why do I only see some photos in TagBridge?

You may have granted limited or partial photo access instead of full library access. On iOS, this can happen if you chose "Selected Photos." On Android 14 and newer, you can also grant access to selected media only. TagBridge can only scan the items your device has allowed it to see. You can upgrade access later in your device settings.

Why does TagBridge ask for local network permission?

TagBridge may request local network permission on iOS when you connect to a NAS or PhotoPrism server on your local network. It does not request live location permission. Trip detection uses GPS coordinates already embedded in your photo metadata, not active device location tracking.

Face detection tagged the wrong person. Can I fix that?

Yes. Open the photo detail, tap the face, and choose the correction option that fits. You can also merge two people into one from the faces management screen. Deleting a person removes the face tags, but it does not delete the underlying photos.

How do tagging rules work?

A rule is an if/then statement, such as "If source is Instagram and year is 2024, tag as social." You choose whether the rule applies to past photos, future photos, or both. Rules can run automatically on new items or when you manually re-run them.

What destinations can I transfer photos to?

TagBridge supports SMB, WebDAV, Google Drive, and PhotoPrism. Transfers go directly from your device to the destination you configure. Destination credentials and tokens are stored locally on your device. Foundry Pixel does not proxy those transfers.

Do transfers or backups modify my original photos?

By default, TagBridge exports tagged copies for transfers and backups without modifying your originals in the device library. The main exception is the optional "Export to Apple Photos Keywords" feature, which writes tags to the original photo's metadata on your device only if you explicitly enable it.

I reinstalled the app and my subscription is gone.

Use the Restore Purchase option on the welcome screen or in Settings. TagBridge will ask Apple or Google and RevenueCat to re-check the account that made the purchase. Restore Purchases does not restore your local tags, faces, rules, or trips by itself. Those come from your own backup if you created one.

How do I back up my tags and settings?

Go to Settings and use the backup options provided there. Backups can include your tags, faces, trips, rules, templates, and related settings, but not the original photos from your device library. If you restore on a new device, the backup will restore the App data it contains.

How do I cancel my subscription?

iOS: Open Settings > tap your name > Subscriptions > TagBridge > Cancel Subscription.
Android: Open Google Play Store > tap your profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > TagBridge > Cancel.
You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period. Lifetime purchases do not renew.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases are handled by Apple and Google Play under their own policies.
iOS: visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with the Apple ID that made the purchase, and choose the TagBridge purchase.
Android: open Google Play, go to your purchase history, and tap "Report a problem" on the TagBridge order.

I found a bug or something isn't working right.

Please email us with a description of the issue, your device model, operating system version, and the destination type involved if the problem is transfer-related. Screenshots or a short screen recording help a lot.
